BlackRock Introduces Model Portfolios Designed to Help Investment Outcomes for Women

Most women I have worked with would prefer solutions that don’t single them out by gender.  Traditionally, the financial community’s approach to working with women has been patriarchal and patronizing.  However, it is hard to ignore the pay-equity gap, longevity risk and career interruptions that women face.  Over time, these three factors can significantly affect the wealth that women must amass to support themselves during retirement and how it is managed.  It will be interesting to see whether solutions like these are successful in addressing these factors.
